Main types of IC card models

IC cards are mainly divided into:Contact IC cardsAndContactless IC cardsThe main chip models of these two cards can be roughly classified into the following three types,

    The first type is: CPU cards, also known as smart cards. The integrated circuit inside the card contains a microprocessor CPU, storage units (including RAM for random access, ROM (FLASH) for program memory, EEPROM for user data), and the chip operating system COS. A CPU card equipped with COS is equivalent to a microcomputer, not only providing data storage but also command processing and data security protection functions;

The second type is: logical encrypted memory cards, which add encryption logic circuits to non-encrypted memory cards. These logic uses password verification to protect the data inside the card from external access, but it only provides low-level security protection and cannot prevent malicious attacks.

The third type is: non-encrypted memory cards, where the integrated circuit chip inside is mainly EEPROM, which has data storage functions but lacks data processing and hardware encryption functions.

Based on the main model classifications of these three IC cards, I will list more specific chip models below.

Siemens chip model

SLE4406 104-bit encrypted cards feature data read, data write, password, personalization, and bit-erase operations.
SLE4442 A 256-byte encrypted card supports data read, write, data protection, and password operations.
SLE4428 1024-byte encrypted card supports data read, write, data protection, and password operations.
 SLE4404 416-bit, two-level encryption.
 SLE4418 1KBT, with write protection.
SLE4432 256 bytes, with write protection.

 Atmel chip model

AT24C01A 128 bytes are not encrypted and only support read and write operations.
AT24C64 8192 bytes are non-encrypted cards and only support read and write operations.
AT88SC102 1024-bit logical encryption cards feature read/write operations, erase operations, password operations, and control bit operations.
AT88SC1604 A 16K logic encryption card supports read/write operations, password operations, erase operations, and circuit breaker operations.
AT45D041 540,672 bytes are non-encrypted cards and only support read and write operations.
AM4442 A 256-byte encrypted card supports data read, write, data protection, and password operations.
BL7430E The memory card chip is housed in the SLE4405E (SIEMENS) 104-bit EEPROM smart counter.

PHILIP chip model

Mifare One 1K bytes, 16 sectors, 4 blocks per sector, read and write controlled by 2 keys, 16 bytes per block.
Mifare light It has a capacity of 384 bits, divided into 12 pages, each with 4 bytes and a 128-bit data area.

 Fudan chip model

FM4442 The memory card chip uses a 0.6-micron CMOS EEPROM process, with a capacity of 256×8 BitEEPROM, featuring write protection and programmable security code authentication. The peripheral interface follows the ISO7816 protocol standard (synchronous transmission) and can be widely used in various IC memory cards.
FM4428 The memory card chip uses a 0.6-micron CMOS EEPROM process, with a capacity of 1K×8 BitEEPROM, featuring write protection and programmable security code authentication. The peripheral interface follows the ISO7816 protocol standard (synchronous transmission) and can be widely used in various IC memory cards.

Beiling chip model

BL7442 The memory card chip is compatible with the SLE4442 (SIEMENS) 2K bit EEPROM encrypted memory. Widely used in various electronic consumption cards, phone cards, taxi cards, and other consumer sectors. Suitable for commercial electronic consumption cards, campus cards, dining cards, attendance cards, inquiry cards, door lock cards, management cards, and more.
BL7448 The memory card chip is compatible with the SLE4428 (SIEMENS) 8K EEPROM encrypted memory. Widely used in various electronic consumption cards, phone cards, taxi cards, and other consumer sectors. Suitable for traffic management cards, tax management cards, healthcare cards, utility management cards, and more.

Currently, the above chip models are the most widely used on the market. Of course, there are more advanced and high-end chips than these, but these require custom orders. Therefore, the chip models provided by our company are the ones we can currently produce. If there is a chip that customers need but not supplied by our company, we cannot produce them.
