In recent years, most banks used cards in the form of magnetic stripes. Recently, another incident occurred with magnetic stripe cards, where nearly 350,000 yuan in savings were withdrawn.

Starting April 1 this year, magnetic stripe cards officially disappeared from the banking stage. All bank cards opened by citizens at banks are now chip cards, but this does not mean all magnetic stripe cards have been discarded. It is understood that many citizens, fearing trouble or unwilling to spend money to replace their cards, did not go to the bank to replace their magnetic stripe cards in time, giving criminals an opportunity. Nowadays, major banks basically don't pay to replace chip cards, and getting a new card might cost 10 yuan. However, many people are still reluctant to replace their cards because some citizens are unaware of the security vulnerabilities of magnetic stripe cards.

From this, it is clear that magnetic stripe cards will inevitably exit the stage of history, as their security and speed are far inferior to today's chip cards.
