China Eastern conducted a full RFID baggage tracking technology test in Taiyuan

　　On April 24, 2019, RFID full-process baggage tracking technology was tested at the check-in counters at China Eastern Taiyuan Airport, verifying the feasibility of this technical solution.

　　At 12:50 p.m., with strong support from Shen Chenyi, General Manager of China Eastern's Global Baggage Center, and guidance from professionals, RFID handheld terminals were used at check-in counters 13 and 14 to handle baggage check-in for passengers traveling to Wuhan on flight MU2437. Full-process baggage tracking will provide passengers with a worry-free baggage transportation experience and create conditions for two-way full-process operation testing of flights from Taiyuan to Wuhan.

　　After testing, the process will be further modified, simplifying operational steps, improving baggage delivery efficiency, reducing processing time, and laying the foundation for formal commercial use.

　　It is understood that the use of this technology will enable passengers to collect and push data throughout the entire process of baggage handover, sorting, loading, loading, arriving and unloading at the port, and passengers picking up their luggage to leave the airport after completing check-in procedures. At the same time, it plays a crucial role in improving luggage sorting, loading, unloading, and searching, reducing compensation, and eliminating fraudulent claims, greatly enhancing luggage transportation satisfaction.
