Can smart cards be made with chips and still have embossed codes?
2013-05-14 · Can smart cards be made with chips and still have embossed codes?
Last week, I met a client who said they needed to make a smart card containing a chip. They hoped we could engrave embossed codes on these cards, because the client has this need, so I can provide an answer to this issue.
First, we need to understand that the chip is embedded in the card, and a ring of copper wire is made at the midpoint of the chip. This loop forms a closed circuit, allowing the chip to function. If you use a raised wire, the wire is printed from top to bottom. If the raised wire in the design is very close to this copper wire, the machine will completely pierce through the wire. Once penetrated, the closed circuit created by the copper wire is destroyed, making the card completely unusable. Therefore, when making smart cards, we must stay away from the copper wire. Generally, we do not recommend customers to use the encoding mark. If you do, be sure to send us the document for review; otherwise, the finished card is basically scrap and useless.
Submissions can be sent via QQ left on the website, or you can call the phone number above the website. Here, I will also list the processes that smart cards can be made
1.Smart card manufacturingIt can print single-sided or double-sided printing, using screen printing or offset printing (CMYK four-color printing).
2. Each smart card can be sprayed with different numbers, PIN codes, or text.
3. Smart card production can include signature slips or writing boards (areas where manual writing is allowed).
4. Smart card production can be made with embossed codes, which can be stamped with gold or silver.
5. You can punch round or strip holes in smart cards.
6. Allows the smart card to be labeled with a scratch strip (commonly used for recharge cards, phone cards, lottery cards, etc.).
7. Smart card production can be made with various types of barcodes.
8. The numbers produced by smart cards can be arranged sequentially, or personalized or irregular numbers can be used.
9. Smart card production can be made into squares, circles, or any other irregular shapes.
