PI High-Temperature Insulation Film

Amber polyimide insulation film in reference thicknesses of 0.015-0.25 mm and heat resistance around 280°C. Adhesive or non-adhesive formats can be slit, punched and die-cut from drawings.

Product overview

PI high-temperature insulation film uses amber polyimide film to combine heat resistance, electrical insulation, mechanical strength and dimensional stability. Common thicknesses range from 0.015 to 0.25 mm with reference heat resistance around 280°C; width, length and profile can be made from drawings. Non-adhesive film and adhesive-backed constructions with release liners are available for slitting, punching, die cutting and lamination in high-temperature insulation, masking, fixing and component protection.

  • Polyimide provides high dielectric strength, heat and corrosion resistance and remains stable in demanding environments.
  • At reference temperatures around 280°C it resists softening, shrinkage, edge curl and significant dimensional change.
  • The flexible film resists tearing and abrasion and has useful mechanical strength and chemical stability.
  • Adhesive and non-adhesive constructions are available; adhesive grades bond conformably and can be selected for clean removal.
  • Dedicated tooling produces smooth precision cuts without obvious burrs or scratches, with release-film protection where needed.
  • Supports slitting, holes, discs, rectangles, frames and other custom profiles, including black PI and PET composite parts.
  • Suitable for high-temperature and high-voltage insulation and for flexible heaters combined with metal foil or resistance wire.

  • Drawing-based adhesive films, non-adhesive insulation sheets, laminates and precision die-cut profiles.

Procurement notes

For quotation, state PI thickness, width, length, profile, service temperature, adhesive or release-liner requirement, quantity, drawing and packaging. For heaters, motors, transformers, batteries or PCB processes, also state operating voltage, continuous temperature, contacted media and assembly method. Approve dielectric strength, dimensional stability, adhesion or release behavior and cutting tolerance before production.
