Tamper-Evident Security Tape

Product overview

Tamper-evident security tape is a sealing material designed to record whether a package has been opened. It is also called VOID tape, confidentiality tape or tamper-revealing tape. A preset release message is formed on the reverse of the PET carrier; common concealed wording includes VOID, OPENED or an opened-seal message, while customer-specific text, logos and patterns can also be produced. Before removal, it can resemble ordinary packaging tape. Once lifted from the application surface, the carrier and sealed surface undergo an obvious structural change, the concealed message appears and permanent evidence remains. The tape cannot be restored to its original condition, exposing unauthorized opening, substitution, theft or attempted resealing.

Procurement notes

For quotation, provide tape width, length, color, PET thickness, concealed message, surface print, application material, operating temperature, quantity and whether a release liner is required. Common reference sizes are 45 mm × 50 m, 48 mm × 50 m and 50 mm × 50 m; other widths, lengths, logos, typefaces and hidden messages are customizable. Message transfer and residue differ on cartons, plastics, metals, glass and coated surfaces. Before volume purchasing, test the actual surface to confirm initial tack, holding power, message clarity, residue location and irreversible performance.
