Introduction to library cards

Library cards can be called by different names, such as: reading card, reading card, library card, borrowing card, borrowing card, borrowing card, and so on. A library card is a book borrowing certificate provided free of charge or paid by the institution providing books to readers. It can be used with scanning devices to manage books, enabling borrowing registration and management at a lower cost. There are mainly three ways to manage library cards.

First: Barcode library card

A so-called barcode library card refers to a line of black-and-white tree-shaped stripes sprayed onto the card. The barcode scanner can identify the borrower's information and book details through this stripe, and record the end date and the date the book should be returned on the card. This is a relatively low-cost way to manage books, but its security factor is not high, and barcodes are relatively prone to wear.

2. Magnetic stripe library card

As the name suggests, a magnetic stripe library card is a magnetic strip printed on the card. The main purpose of this magnetic strip is to solve the problem of barcode library cards being prone to wear. The magnetic stripe library card combines with the magnetic stripe on the card, allowing the machine to recognize the information on the card, transmit the data to the data cable, and finally operate it through the terminal computer. The chance of wear is very low, but of course, demagnetization can still occur. 3: Chip library card

In fact, this product is a key focus of our factory. The chip library card is a chip embedded in the card itself. It is sensed by the device, making it convenient to use without demagnetization or wear. This card has a long lifespan and fast sensing speed. Of course, it is also more expensive than the other two. In the long run, it is indeed cheaper than the other two. The other cards may encounter various issues after some use, but the chip library card will never show up.

Processes that library cards can use:
