A water-contact indicator label is a die-cut indicator made from white water-sensitive material. It is also known as a water-sensitive warning label, liquid-ingress indicator or irreversible moisture label. The label remains white in a normal dry condition. After full contact with water or substantial moisture exposure, its surface changes to a clearly contrasting red and does not return to white after drying. This permanent visual record helps identify liquid damage, reduce disputes caused by uncertain water exposure during repair, and provide supporting evidence for water ingress, claims and responsibility tracing during ocean transport or storage.
