UHF RFID Temperature-Sensing Labels

Product overview

This battery-free UHF label receives energy from a reader and returns both identification and temperature data. Reference dimensions are 98 × 24 mm with a 93 × 19 mm etched-aluminum antenna. It covers 860–960 MHz and supports EPC Gen2v2 and ISO/IEC 29167-10. Reference operating temperature is -40 to 85°C and recommended storage is 0 to 25°C. PET, hot-melt adhesive, antenna and liner form a thin adhesive label, with versions selectable for metal or non-metal surfaces. Reading may reach about 3 m, depending on reader power, mounting direction, substrate and the surrounding environment.

Product features

• Battery-free operation combines identification and real-time temperature collection when activated by a UHF reader.
• EPC memory is rewritable at a reference 192 bits; TID is read-only at 112 bits; printing, encoding and data writing are supported.
• Reference endurance is up to 100,000 write cycles with data retention of about ten years.
• A sample test showed 22.71°C from the label versus 22.4°C from the reference, a difference of about 0.31°C; actual accuracy requires system calibration.
• Initial adhesive tack is moderate and increases after bonding; barcodes, text and serial numbers can be printed.
• Multiple labels can be deployed across server-room zones, cold-chain points, farms, warehouses and electronic equipment.

Procurement notes

For quotation, specify whether the mounting surface is metal, dimensions, frequency, required reading distance, temperature range and accuracy, reader model, encoded data, printing, quantity and packaging. Verify the reference values with the actual reader, antenna orientation and site interference. Before volume use, test reading distance, temperature deviation, adhesion, encoding compatibility and long-term acquisition.
