A smart portrait card is an information card for personal information produced through advanced digital printing. It directly prints the photo, name, number, image, number, image, barcode, and other information onto the PVC card. It can be used for various types of work badges, entry and exit cards, badge cards, membership cards, temporary residence cards, membership cards, VIP cards, IC cards, ID cards, color photo credit cards, travel permits, and more.
The biggest feature of a portrait card smart card is that it scans the portrait and prints directly onto the card, resulting in a very clear effect that looks just like a photo. The printer automatically laminates the card during printing, so it is water-resistant, color-resistant, and lasts a long time.
The personal information and photos on the portrait card are different for each card. The color portrait card is made of the same texture as the various PVC regular and VIP cards you have seen, but the manufacturing process is different. The latter is produced by printing a large number of copies of the same plate, just like printing countless photos with identical layouts on the same plate, allowing for a large number of cards to be printed at once. Portrait cards can not only print personalized information such as different color photos and names on the card, but also overcome the previous drawbacks of laminated cards—such as limited functionality, easy forgery, easy damage, easy glue unsealing, and lack of waterproofing. Now, the two-layer card is sturdy, waterproof, has excellent image quality, and offers diverse functions. It can also integrate portrait recognition, attendance, access control, and payment functions. Portrait cards are personalized cards, with each card recording different information and content on the surface, accounting for a large proportion of PVC cards.
There are two ways to make portrait cards:
First: Using a thermal transfer card printer to print directly on the surface of blank cards, which is costly;
2. Another method uses color inkjet or laser printers to print content onto a dedicated PVC card base, then laminates the finished product through hot pressing, punching, and card punching. Portrait cards are currently the most popular type of ID card.

2. The printed patterns or text on the front and back of the card body must be consistent with those provided by your company.
Portrait Card Process Production Requirements:
1. The portrait on the employee card must be exactly the same as the manuscript, without distortion, and the portrait must be printed clearly;
2. Imported laminating equipment is used; technical parameters such as heat sealing cooling humidity and lamination time meet ISO7810 standards, bonding is firm, no delamination or cracking after 10 hours of immersion in water, and naturally bending 45 cm of the card body without cracking.
3. Uses imported cutting equipment to ensure accurate alignment of front and back faces, with an error not exceeding 0.5mm;
4. The side burrs on the PVC cardholder meet ISO7810 standards, and the formed paper card uses functional filling materials, with no color differences or burrs on the side.
5. When transporting the finished card from a dry environment to a humid one, or vice versa, after unboxing, the card will naturally return to a flat surface and be reliably usable.
6. Under test conditions of radiation intensity 500W/m², blackboard temperature 50°C, 5 hours, and room temperature of 40+1, the card surface does not yellow, cracks, and the front holographic anti-counterfeit film remains unchanged.
7. The card body must be resistant to light leakage, strong light, and light penetration.
8. The card surface should be smooth, flat, non-layered, not bent, or easily broken, and possess a certain degree of toughness. Clear printing fonts, strong color separation texture, distinct image layering, accurate registration, resolution above 300 lines per inch.
Portrait card design draft requirements:
1. Since our company's design and production system is mainly PC, please provide PC files whenever possible.
2. Provides Photoshop layered PSD files that retain text information. The color mode is CMYK. Using RGB color mode will cause significant color differences.
3. Please provide a qualified photo when creating personalized cards; If it is a digital photo, please be sure to maintain a resolution of above 300 DPI;
4. Since the working principle of output film is the same as offset printing, it is recommended to use software such as Illustrator or CorelDraw, and the text must be converted to curves.
5. If there is a logo, please provide a vector image or a sufficiently clear image to reduce errors.
6. The standard size of PVC cards is: length 85.6 * height 54 * thickness 0.76 mm. The design requires bleeding retention, with the bleed size being 9 * 57 mm, and resolution must be above 300 DPI.
